How Often Should You Replace Your Pool Liner?

With proper maintenance, vinyl liners typically last about 7 to 15 years.

These are the signs that it’s time for pool vinyl liner replacement:

Cracks and Rips

Over time, UV rays and pool chemicals exposure can make pool liners very delicate, increasing their susceptibility to rips or tears.

These tears are often visible near the water’s surface.

Fading and Staining

Before cracks and rips appear, another indicator of UV and chemical damage is the fading or staining of the liner.

This discoloration indicates the liner is aging and it is time to replace it.

Wrinkling

Over time vinyl liners lose their elasticity and plasticity.  This will cause the liner to pull out of track.

This means it’s time for a new liner.
