No- we have a dedicated Customer Service staff to answer your phone calls.

Why is having a CBP on staff important?
The Certified Pool & Spa Building Professional (CBP) designation is highly sought after for builders who have at least five years experience and the ability to pass a written exam. In a field that is not regulated by licensing, this designation sets us apart from other pool builders. And we have two CBPs on staff!
Why is it important we have our Residential Small Appliance License?
Legally we are required to have this license in order to work with electricity on your pool and/or spa. Pools and More having this license ensures the safety and protection of your home and family.
Why is it important we carry Commercial Auto policy, GL policy and Workers Comp?
These are all things we put into place to protect you when working on your pool and/or spa. We are not out of the back of a truck service. We have a brick and mortar business and aim to provide the highest quality service for you. You do not want to invest into a company providing contract work that doesn’t have these policies in place.
What makes you different than others?
First, we are a one stop shop- construction, repair, service, and retail. You only have to contact one place to get all your pool and spa needs met. Second, at Pools and More if you build your pool with us, we own the pool with you. What we mean by that is we treat you as a preferred customer. You get first choice on appointments and preferred pricing. Third, our overall experience, professionalism, security, and education. All of these things are important when searching for a pool builder.
What assurance do I have that you are the right choice to design, build and take care of my new backyard paradise?
No other builder in our area is more qualified, more highly insured, and has the years of experience that we at Pools and More have. Simply put, we are the best.
RETAIL
What is your return policy?
We cannot accept returns on any special order items, any electrical parts, or any item that has been placed in the water. Any other retail item may be returned for a store credit, with a receipt.
Do you offer any warranty?
Yes, many of our parts come with a manufacturer warranty that varies by part. All of our pools and spas include a warranty.
Do you have a Customer Service department?
Yes. We have multiple dedicated customer service representatives, plus our general office staff can assist during busier seasons.
Do you offer financing?
We work with Lyon Financial or your choice of local banking institution. You can apply in our store for financing or at your bank of choice. .
Can I buy your chemicals elsewhere?
The chemicals we offer in our store are not available in any other local retailer. We have specifically chosen the chemicals we offer based on quality and performance.
Why are your chemicals better?
We have researched the chemicals available and made our selection of the products we carry based on our experience, education and the value of the product. While some of our chemicals may cost more up front compared to a big box retail store chemicals, they really are more affordable when looking at the quality and how well they work. In other words, you will use less and spend the same amount or less.
Are all chemical brands the same?
No. There are many different types and qualities.
CONSTRUCTION
What is the difference between vinyl and gunite?
Vinyl pools are standard shapes with a vinyl liner that will need to be replaced every 8 to 10 years. A gunite pool is built by using a special application of concrete to any design you can imagine- meaning your pool design has no limits. There are many other differences we can outline for you to help you find the best fit for your pool.

How do I choose a good pool contractor?
There are many questions you can ask of your contractor to ensure you are making the correct choice in a contractor. Some of those include asking about how long they have been in business, asking for references and suppliers, asking about insurance and workman’s comp, and are they a member of The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals (APSP).
Which is the right kind of pool for me?
Our pool designer can work with you to determine the best type of pool for your home based on your financial budget, space, and other factors.
If I have a small yard, can I still have a pool?
Yes. Our pool designer can work with you to design the perfect pool for your yard.
How long will it take to build my pool?
Depending on the type of pool and the size and additional features, a new pool can take anywhere from 2 to 6 to several weeks. Weather and scheduling always play into the timeline as well.
Is chlorine or salt a better choice for my pool?
We believe salt is the better option due to the ease in keeping it clean and clear, and because salt water is better for your skin and hair. We like to compare the two to a window unit air conditioner (chlorine) and central air conditioner (salt). Both work and work well, but one is premium.
I am building a new home. Should I build now or wait until my home is finished?
You should consult with our pool designer now to get an estimate and put into consideration drainage and electrical. It is always best to put consideration in advance.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry general liability insurance, commercial auto insurance, and workman’s compensation. This is for your protection.
What is the payment structure for my new pool?
A deposit is required to secure time and materials. Then we offer progress invoices as the applicable part of the job is done.
Is “Wet” or “Dry” Shotcrete better?
Wet. Wet shotcrete is stronger and better and what we use when building pools. There are multiple reasons for this preference but above all, we believe it is the best value for our customers.
Why are your subcontractors better than others?
We believe in the work we do and we want you to be satisfied and to trust us. Therefore, we have reliable contractors that we have worked with for a long time that we trust. We do not have a large turnover with our contractors and they have worked with us for so long they know our expectations. We believe our subcontractors provide a high quality service.
Why do you use the products/manufactures that you use?
We choose vendors that offer the best products that work and provide in this geographical area, and provide continual education. We believe highly in the products we sell and use, so that you can trust in our work.
Will my pool move and get out of level?
We take every effort to prevent this from happening. Between our experience and education we will go the extra step to help you prevent this from happening. In working with Pools and More you are getting a capable pool builder who is located locally and can be called on to do any repairs, should a repair ever be needed.
SERVICE

How do I schedule service?
You can call or come into our store, or send an email and we will contact you to schedule service. Whatever method is most convenient for you.
What do you do when you come every week to service my pool and/or spa?
We check all of your equipment, empty all baskets, brush all surfaces, check the chemistry of the water, and adjust accordingly. We will vacuum if necessary.
Does your company take care of everything, or do I have to rely on someone else to handle repairs?
We do it all, and that is the major benefit of working with Pools and More. Construction to Service and Repairs when needed. Also, our retail department carries all the chemicals and supplies you may need.
Do your weekly techs come to service my pool on the same day each week?
Yes, weather permitting; we try to keep a consistent schedule for our customers.
Is it difficult to maintain a pool and/or spa?
Not if you do it correctly. We offer a seasonal pool school class that is less than an hour and equips you for success.
Are your techs certified?
Yes, through The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP), our techs are all Certified Service Technicians (CST) and most are Certified Pool & Spa Operators (CPO). We make education and accreditation a priority.
When should I uncover my pool?
Generally we recommend once the last winter freeze has occurred, sometime in late March or April.

What do I do if my pool is green?
Check your water chemistry and that all your equipment is running properly. If you are unable to check your water chemistry you can bring a water sample into our store or call us for service on site.
What chemicals do I need to start up the pool each season?
This varies by pool, water chemistry, and weather. We recommend you come in for water testing and we will consult with you on the chemicals needed. If you purchase chemicals through our store, the water testing is free.
Will you Service my Pool if you did not build it?
Under most circumstances we will. However the pools we have built are the first on our list of priorities as we are committed to keeping the pools we build in excellent condition. Build with us and we own the pool with you.
When do I need to do a sand change?
We recommend every three to five years depending on your water chemistry history.
